Near Tel Aviv we visited the ancient city of Yaffa or Joppa, where Dorkas lived and where Jonah fled to Tarsis, and where Peter received the vision to accept Gentiles. Then Peter went to Ceasarea and so did we, and there we viewed remains of Roman times, especially the amphitheater, now almost completely rebuilt, and the Hippodrome where competitions were held. You can also see in one photo the stone with the inscription of Pontius Pilate that was originally found in Ceasarea. A few hundred meters that remains of the aquaduct that the Romans had built to bring water to the city you can also see here.
In the photos you can see the so-called (fake) house of Simon the Tanner, us in Tel Aviv on a terrace with a friend, ancient Ceasarea with hippodrome from the air, the amphitheater, the stone inscribed with "Pontius Pilate", mosaic floors, and Karin under the aqueduct with the Mediterranean sea in the background.
